Reading the translators outline of the work is getting me sooo curious

Like there is a section on curing yourself from whatever a witch has afflicted you with. And one such section is "Cures for removed penises"

very curious lol.

"Henricus Institoris (the Latinized form of the German name Heinrich Kramer)"

How does "Kramer" turn into "Institoris"?

Both authors of the book were Dominican's

Apparently the Dominican order (officially "The Order of Preachers") "was founded in the early thirteenth century to combat heresy." and their whole shtick was studying scriptures and other stuff to better find heresy. Which is also why they often got appointed as inquisitors.

Checking out the Malleus Maleficarum or "The Hammer of Witches"

it was first published in 1486 by the German Clergyman Heinrich Kramer.

Its basically a, "Here is what witches do and how you should kill them"

it was an important influence in the witch trials.
