Here's the high voltage power card. The capacitors were all at 0.0V, and their in-circuit capacitances were all within spec. Even tho it's been sitting for unknown decades, I think this card is probably safe to power up. The little bar isn't electrically connected to anything. I think it's just to help put the card in the slot.

A pcb with matte blue solder mask. It has 3 large capacitors and a thick, aluminum bar/handle. The back of the same ocb showing hand-drawn traces and the words "High voltage power supply VU-Data Model 1501" The empty slot for the card on a pcb without solder mask. The 115/220V switch is visible, strangely positioned on the inside of the chassis and unaccessible from the outside.

Doing something impossible to fail at, cuz the goal is simply to see what there is to see. I have a set of 7 Vu-Data displays mounted in this one chassis. I got them as part of a lot of old test equipment awhile back and haven't even tried powering them on. Tonight I'll do an initial inspection and maybe plug them in

Blue, rackmount box with 7 tiny CRT's all in a row, each with it's own set of knobs. One knob adjusts the timescale. The other, I'll explore later

Today i spent a bunch of time going nowhere trying to configure a raspberry pi 4 with raspberry pi os to act as a wifi to ethernet bridge.

I think I might try to configure one of the "cpu nodes" in my server, running Mint to bridge instead. In theory it should be similar if not exactly the same, but ive had no luck with the pi. I suppose I could try pfsense. Idk, I'll decide when I have patience for that again.
