Very interesting cautionary tale for #FirstNations; most want self-government of some sort...well, this is one of the consequences.

Do you think there are some brilliant #Canadian economists/politicians/sociologists out there writing a "Project 2026" for Canada? An industrial strategy + immigration policies + foreign policies? It's time. The US, to me, is kind of like a cheating spouse: can you ever trust them again?

βThis country was built on patriots stepping up..."
Wrong: the US was built on immigrants.
Another movie (franchise) for me to not watch.

Happy to see religious centres closing. I don't see that as a threat to communities looking for spaces to meet for civic purposes. I've never accepted the comingling of religion and state and have always been happy to see starter charities "coming out of the church basement" as they say. Communities should provide their own civic spaces without the help of churches/religion. There, I've said it.

"The NHL still has not had any women on-ice officials". Of course not; given the culture of hockey the players would probably try to have their way with them.

You would think that American politicians would be pretty damned used to blowing smoke.

Gee; what a surprise - #Amazon tried to interfere with #Unifor unionizing in #BritishColumbia. Sure didn't see that coming.
