Junkmaster picked up a new toy. 1966 Chevelle set up for drag racing.

It has a roll bar and a fuel cell mounted in the trunk.

The engine is a 427 that has been stroked. I think he said to a 496 and should have at least 500hp.

It recently had a carburetor fire with minimal damage (wires, cables etc). #JunkyardLife

We have a resident Junkhawk here in the yard.

I haven’t bothered with binoculars, I’m assuming it is a red tailed hawk, they are common here in the Willamette Valley.

See him perching on a few different trees on most days.

I’ve also spotted a very small raptor, possibly a falcon prowling the property.

Luckily my dog is not terribly bothered by fireworks.

He barks at the first few but quickly settles down and ignores the rest of them.

On the other hand my brother’s dog, a big brute of a pitbull turns into a quivering mess for the duration.

I hope your pets made it through the barrage unscathed.

A Mercury Cougar is being moved to a friend’s body shop for storage.

Might mean there is a restoration in the future for this lucky hulk.
