Congress wrote the #VotingRights Act to prevent the case-by-case whack-a-mole games local lawmakers were playing with election rules. It forced jurisdictions with a history of #discrimination to clear elections changes with the Department of Justice before they could go into effect. It banned literacy tests to vote and allowed challenges to district maps when those maps would not allow proportional representation for minority voters.

According to three Unit 8200 sources, the cloud-based storage platform has facilitated the preparation of deadly airstrikes and has shaped military operations in #Gaza and the #WestBank.Thanks to the control it exerts over #Palestinian telecommunications infrastructure, #Israel has long intercepted phone calls in the occupied territories. But the indiscriminate new system allows intelligence officers to play back the content of cellular calls made by Palestinians, capturing the conversations of a much larger pool of ordinary civilians.

This is a t-shirt design that I came up with. (The flag-map graphic was done by someone else.) Pro-#Israel elements in and out of government are using phony arguments about #antiSemitism as a pretext for repressing the #Palestine solidarity movement. Countering that slander is extremely important right now.
