There is no evidence the person concerned was trans. Nor is there evidence that the person involved was going to be doing a bra fitting (large stores often have 3-4 specialist fitters for this type of thing). It sounds to be that TERFs heard about somebody they suspected of being trans and went there deliberately to cause trouble and get their five minutes of fame in the terf community.
The tallest woman was 8'-1". Plenty are above 7 foot, and many professional basketball players and volleyball plays have large numbers of 6 feet plus athletes who are cis. I've known a couple of cis women who were over 6 feet and wear larger shoes. One used to live near me and could be seen out and about regularly, the other in a nightclub where I worked, who was a good friend.
We no longer use 1950s measurements because women have naturally increased in height since then.
Forgot that yesterday was the 80th anniversary of Clement Attlee becoming the only leader elected as Prime Minister during World War II (and the first elections since 1935). He was PM at the time of VJ day. His government went on to create the National Health Service, build 1.6 million homes, nationalise the utilities and public transport and create the modern welfare state. 6 years later, Churchill won his first election as leader of the Tories with 1 million votes fewer than Labour. PR should have been introduced then instead of another 80 years of undemocratic elections.
