That was mercifully quick. The doctor saw him right away without the usual wait. Now we're home and he's in the hidey hole he uses when the gardeners are here
Today's traumas are nearly forgotten
Say what you want about the times we're living int, but at least it's funny to witness a sitting US senator calling for a guy named "Big Balls" to be given the presidential medal of freedom.
I saw that grok got suspended today, so I went over to twitter to see if I could find out why.
I didn't an answer, but i did find a guy who spent 12 hours arguing with grok because it debunked a post that claimed AOC's brother was arrested by the coast guard for smuggling fentanyl into the country.
He kept coming back to the example of the "Zone of Death" in Yellowstone and asking grok if it would say he was a murderer if he murdered someone in the Zone of Death.

Lots of anguished yelling and pathetic cowering

His hour of betrayal is nearly at hand. He knows not what is coming, but the knowledge that I must soon be "mean" weighs heavily upon me.

The worry-free countenance of a cat who has no idea he's going to the vet for his booster shots later today.

Question for the vintage computing enthusiasts out there:
A friend of mine has acquired a Sinclair Spectrum, but it only has PAL RF output.
Living in the US, he needs NTSC output.
Has anyone come up with a good solution for that?
A 1985 issue of SUM (Spectrum Users Magazine) suggests the following:
"The poor man's way is to change out the color burst crystal. The computer comes with a 4.43 MHZ crystal which is the frequency used in the PAL TV system. With NTSC, the frequency is 3.579545 MHZ, so run down to your local electronics parts store and pick one up (Radio Shack sells them for around $1) and swap crystals out."
