When we moved in here, goodness knows how long ago, we found a very sorry-for-itself apple tree at the bottom of the garden, I think it's a Braeburn. It had been overshadowed by a neighbour's humongous laurel tree for many, many years. A tree that the majority of its other neighbours hated until we got an ASBO notice (yes really!) as laurel berries are poisonous to dogs. They didn't like the thought of paying for my assistance dog's veterinary fees and cut the tree down.

Anyway that came down about four years back, the apple tree slowly improved and then this year we have never seen as many apples on it, ever!

Well chuffed with that!
