The biggest change in my lifetime which I have seen and experienced was going from a society where most people had a base level of trust. We have gone from that to everything being a scam by default and nothing you see or read is real.

Voronoi chart visualises the % of world's proven oil reserves by country, divided by OPEC (70.4% of reserves) and NON-OPEC nations (30.6%). Venezuela has the largest reserves at 18% with Saudi Arabia (17%) and Iran (9%) in 2nd & 3rd. Of the NON-OPEC nations, Canada has the largest at 10%, followed by Russia 6% and USA (4%)

The old web isn’t a platform, an aesthetic, or a technology. The old web is people creating and sharing because they are intrinsically motivated. Everything we hate about the current web comes from extrinsic motivations. Good luck removing them.
