"Every age has its fascism: the premonitory signs can
be seen wherever the concentration of power denies
citizens the possibility and the ability to express
themselves and implement their will. This is achieved
in many ways, not only by the terror of police
intimidation, but also by denying or distorting information,
polluting justice, spreading in many subtle ways
nostalgia for a world in which order reigned supreme,
and in which the security of the privileged few rested
on forced labor and the silence of the many."

aeb64e8d6e7b3360.png when fascism came into power, most people were unprepared, both theoretically and practically. They were unable to believe that man could exhibit such propensities for evil, such lust for power such disregard for the rights of the weak or such yearning for submission. Only a few had been aware of the rumbling of the volcano preceding the outbreak. 9dfb31000c9042ec.jpg "Police regularly engage in practices which, in war,
would be considered outrageous, or at the very
least, utterly dishonorable.
.
If one does negotiate an agreement with the police,
they will almost invariably violate it. If those carrying
out an action in one part of a city try to create a
green zone or safe spaces in another—in other
words, if they try to set up an area in which everyone
agrees not to break the law or provoke the authorities,
as a way to distinguish combatants and non-combatants,
the police will almost invariably attack the green zones."

the law is not a
departure from
democracy;
it is absolutely
essential to it.”

  - Howard Zinn a77a4e07cc479d7f.png We cant just vote fascism away. the time has come to disobey. 610deaf7f9b71f82.jpg Terror becomes total when it becomes independent of all opposition; it rules supreme when nobody any longer stands in its way. 7817059e35e39ea9.png "Journalists have a fairly idiosyncratic
definition of violence. This has the
effect that if even just one protestor
damages a Starbucks window, one
can speak of “violent protests”, but
if police then proceed to attack
everyone present with tazers,
sticks and plastic bullets, this
cannot be described as violent."

  - David Graeber 0c2dac29523f0c23.png "Violence is so often the
preferred weapon of the
stupid: indeed, one might
say it is one of the tragedies
of human existence that this
is the one form of stupidity to
which it is most difficult to
come up with an intelligent
response.".

  - David Graeber 9a9efdf1593e3863.png "Once there was a time when giving
politicians money so as to influence their
positions was referred to as “bribery” and
it was illegal. It was a covert business, if
often pervasive, involving the carrying of
bags of money and solicitation of specific
favors: a change in zoning laws, the
awarding of a construction contract,
dropping the charges in a criminal case.
Now soliciting bribes has been relabeled
“fund-raising” and bribery itself, “lobbying.”

  - David Graeber 8d5ee7b0df815310.png In my lifetime, the United States has overthrown or attempted to overthrow more than 50 governments, mostly democracies. It has interfered in democratic elections in 30 countries. It has dropped bombs on the people of 30 countries, most of them poor and defenceless. It has attempted to murder the leaders of 50 countries. It has fought to suppress liberation movements in 20 countries.

The extent and scale of this carnage are largely unreported, and unrecognised; and those responsible continue to dominate Anglo-American political life. 9a9b3280cf96873e.png
