Which then brings me to the one grand unifying theory of "don't make him hit you" the libs seem to be pedaling around - the short version is something like, don't do anything that "allows" Trump to (credibly, i guess?) invoke the Insurrection Act, which is sometimes paired with the theory he will use doing so to cancel the elections. As if these are all reasonable things, a President can just do and you know, we gotta take that.
To which I will remind you, that they just shot a 37 year old white mother of 3 on fucking camera, and are pretending she was a terrorist and that made it cool that they murdered her actually. You're taking about a President running something like 8 simultaneous states of emergency, all fucking made up, to amass as much power and wealth as he can through the office. A guy who made up an invasion by a Venezuelan gang that's barely in the US, to ship ppl to concentration camps.
And like, I dunno, I would be extremely worried about whether or not you're going to have free and fair elections, the Nazis can lose, or even any elections at all. Like the guy keeps saying he's staying in so many ways, and gonna rig em in so many ways, and even if he loses he's made it clear he will try to invalidate results he doesn't like, in so many ways.
So any strategy that starts with "let fascists brutalize you and your neighbors till November" seems, well, questionable.

It doesn't get easier from here. So, I dunno man. Trump can't succeed if everyone shuts it down together - but it's pretty fucking scary that it looks like our opposition party would rather do hard time than tell you.
